Welcome to Renrivier, a family-run farm nestled on 2.5 acres in beautiful Northern California. Our farming journey began with just a handful of chickens—and you know what they say about chickens: they're the gateway drug to farming! In April 2019, we added our first pair of Nigerian dwarf goats, and our herd has been growing ever since.

This little farm of ours, which started with a simple love for goats, has evolved into something much more. While we’re thrilled to help you find your perfect pasture pets, our main goal is to raise show-quality Nigerian dwarf goats. We strive to combine production with conformation to create beautiful, functional animals that will make us proud. Every season brings us closer to fulfilling those dreams.

In 2020, we started on DHI milk testing and learned a lot about our girls' lactations and production levels. By 2021, we had our first appraisal and got many of our girls their first scores. We also participate in as many shows as we can and were thrilled to win our first grand champion and best junior doe in show ribbons in 2022 with both a homebred dry yearling and a purchased junior doe. In 2023, we attended our first Nationals and were over the moon to achieve 20th place Senior Kid and 7th place Junior Yearling!

Following a particularly difficult season in the year 2024, we decided to rebrand our herd from Crescent Ranch to Renrivier. Renrivier, to us, symbolizes a fresh start and new beginnings - a chance to wash away the heartache of this season and bring hope and transformation for the future.

The idea of using my last name, Renstrom, led to the creation of Renrivier. In Swedish, "Ren" translates to "Clear River," but it didn't quite feel right. I adapted it by combining "Ren" with "Rivier," the Dutch word for "river." Rivers are said to symbolize the journey of life, of strength, of overcoming trials and tribulations, of hope and perseverance - which felt perfect.

This new chapter is also about our commitment to you. At Renrivier, we promise to share our knowledge and provide the support you need for success. Whether you're giving shots for the first time, interpreting pedigrees, starting milk testing, or seeking recommendations for other farms, we’re here to guide you.

Feel free to reach out with any questions. Even if we don’t have the answer, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.
